Job description

Gather & Gather, known as one of the UK & Ireland's most distinctive workplace and venue catering experts, is passionate about great food, excellent coffee, and prioritizing our employees and customers. We are currently recruiting for a General Manager to join us at Charlton FC. This role is ideal for an experienced GM within Stadia or a strong Deputy eager for their first GM appointment. At Charlton, we are the exclusive caterer on site for both the stadium and training ground, managing 19 retail kiosks and 800 hospitality covers on match days, with the stadium hosting 27,500 fans on sellout days and an average of 15,000 attendees per game.

Location: SE7 8BL

Rate of pay: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum + benefits + bonus

Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 over 7 shift pattern

Key Responsibilities
  • This is a hands-on position for an experienced operator
  • Lead, manage, and develop the team, including 5 direct reports
  • Experience with conference and events
  • Ability to manage clients
  • Full budget and financial responsibility
Our ideal candidate will:
  • Have contract catering experience, ideally within Stadia
  • Be service standard orientated
  • Have good knowledge of food across fine dining and concourse catering
  • Be a high-volume, high-quality operator with strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Have excellent communication and client management skills
