Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading manufacturer and integrator of Warehouse Automation products, seeking to hire a Senior Conveyor Design Engineer to work on projects for clients across the UK. This role offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive package, making it an excellent opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with experience in a similar role within a related industry.

Responsibilities

1. Creating detailed designs to meet customer specifications for conveyors, ready for translation into engineering solutions using AutoCAD software.
2. Carrying out all related calculations and risk assessments to ensure designs meet technical and safety standards.
3. Conducting thorough analysis to validate all designs.
4. Collaborating closely with sales, projects, and technical teams throughout each project stage, producing all necessary documentation.
5. Attending sites nationwide as required.

Requirements

Our client is ideally looking for an individual with a strong conveyor design background. It is essential that you hold a Mechanical Engineering qualification.

Location-wise, you should be based within a commutable distance to the Nottingham office, as there is an expectation to work from the office. A full UK driver’s license is required, as travel to customer sites around the country will be necessary.
