Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer for a contract role in Leicester. The position involves working in hazardous environments within the Oil & Gas industry, focusing on design and documentation generation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Design and a strong understanding of PLC systems.

Senior Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineer
Leicester - 1 day per week on site
£45 per hour outside IR35
6-12 month initial contract

Essential skillset:
- Electrical and Instrumentation Design within hazardous environments (ATEX, COMPEX, NORSOK)
- Understanding of PLC (Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley)
- Experience working within the Offshore Energy or Oil & Gas industry
- Experience with junction boxes, instruments, isolating equipment, electric motors and control panels
- Generate E&I documentation such as utilities/cable Schedules, I/O Schedules, Bill of materials, Hazardous Area Schedules, Test Procedures, Lighting Calcs etc
