Job description

As the e-Learning Content Developer for this specialist healthcare technology business, you'll create digital learning materials that help students and professionals build their understanding of radiotherapy and medical physics. Working with subject specialists and colleagues across the business, you'll shape both the content and how learners work through it.

  • You'll turn a virtual reality simulation platform and the company's subject-matter expertise into clear, engaging e-learning, including modules, practical exercises, assessments and supporting resources, supporting both independent study and teaching delivered by educators.
  • You’ll map content to relevant curricula and competency frameworks, and set the standards and review processes that keep materials accurate and consistent, including coordinating clinical, technical and educational input before publication.
  • You’ll own the content roadmap, identifying gaps and recommending what gets built or updated, and you’ll act as the education specialist in wider product discussions, helping shape how the platform develops.
  • You’ll work with universities, hospitals and other radiotherapy education customers to understand how the resources are used and improve them. Some onboarding, demonstrations and workshops will also form part of the role.
  • You'll work on a hybrid basis where possible, with one to two days a week in the office for candidates within commuting distance of Leeds, York, Hull, Sheffield, Doncaster, Lincoln or similar. Remote working will be considered, and there will be occasional travel (UK and international) to customer sites and events.
COMPANY
  • A radiotherapy education technology company supplying hospitals, universities and training institutions worldwide, with a growing range of cloud-based digital learning products built around immersive 3D simulation. A collaborative, growing team, with real input into how the education function develops.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A background in radiotherapy is essential, for example as a Therapy Radiographer, Dosimetrist, Medical Physicist or Clinical Scientist, or through experience developing education or training content for radiotherapy, together with a degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline. A teaching qualification, postgraduate award in education or instructional design qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience designing digital learning content, training programmes or instructional materials, with a good understanding of adult learning principles and assessment design. Experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate or similar tools, or with a learning management system (LMS), is desirable. Experience in roles such as Learning & Development Specialist, E-Learning Developer or Clinical Educator would be useful.
  • Excellent writing, editing and planning skills, with the ability to turn complex clinical or technical material into clear learning and to work with subject-matter experts. Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality assurance and version control, with the confidence to work independently as part of a small team.
  • Full right to work in the UK is essential.
PACKAGE
  • Salary £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including pension and annual leave.
