Job summary

Adecco is seeking an E-commerce Assistant in Chelmsford to support online inventory management and collaborate with operations, content and marketing teams. The role blends outdoor and indoor responsibilities and requires attention to detail, data analysis, and strong organisational skills.

The position offers a varied workload with opportunities to influence stock levels, product listings and online sales strategies, in a dynamic environment. Own transport is needed for the rural location.

Qualifications

• Experience in an e-commerce or similar role would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify, eBay, and Amazon.
• Ability to organise your own tasks to meet deadlines, with a strong sense of initiative.
• Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in handling large datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with tenacity and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update online inventory, create/list products, and liaise with operations for updates.
• Collaborate with operations and marketing to align stock levels and fulfilment.
• Coordinate with online content to identify opportunities and product availability.
• Identify issues with the fulfilment process with the operations team.
• Conduct regular in-person checks of warehouse products to spot opportunities and issues.
• Analyse large volumes of sales data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Ensure accuracy of product descriptions, prices and stock levels.
• Address internal queries, including price updates and sales events.
• Contribute to new online sales strategies and stay updated on e-commerce trends.
