Job summary

The Social Hub in Glasgow is seeking a friendly Waiter/Waitress for a six-month fixed-term role. You will welcome guests, take and deliver orders, and keep the floor running smoothly with energy and warmth.

You’ll collaborate with bar and kitchen teams, uphold high service standards, and contribute to a vibrant, multinational environment. English fluency is required, hospitality experience is valued, and a positive, proactive attitude helps you thrive.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant or hospitality experience, or strong enthusiasm to learn.
• Excellent English communication.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay calm.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude; team player.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with energy and make them feel instantly at ease
• Take orders, serve dishes and share menu recommendations with confidence
• Keep the floor running smoothly by spotting what’s needed before anyone asks
• Communicate clearly with bar and kitchen so every dish and drink lands perfectly
• Handle questions, requests and small hiccups with calm, friendly problem solving
• Keep your station clean, organised and ready for action
