Job summary

Scotsman Hospitality in Glasgow seeks a proactive hospitality team member to be the face of our venues, delivering warm service across restaurant, bar, and events while supporting front-of-house and kitchen teams.

You will greet guests, take orders, upsell, manage tables, assist with event setups, and help maintain hygiene, stock, and appearance. The role offers varied shifts, a fast-paced environment, and opportunities to develop within our group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant, café, bar or busy guest service environment is highly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with guests.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining service quality.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, provide menus and guide them to tables.
• Take orders accurately, noting dietary requirements and requests.
• Make menu and beverage recommendations to upsell items.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing feedback promptly and professionally.
• Deliver food and drinks with attention to presentation and hygiene.
• Maintain table settings, stock condiments, and assist with bar service and event setup.
