Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a highly organised Customer Service Transport Operator to join our busy transport team at Tamworth/Aston. You will manage daily transport volumes, coordinate with internal teams and ensure exceptional service delivery to customers.

Based in a fast-paced environment, you will act as the main point of contact for customers, resolve issues efficiently and build solid relationships with internal stakeholders while maintaining accurate data in our transport systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in the transport, logistics, or haulage industry.
• Strong understanding of transport operations and customer service requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience dealing directly with customers in a professional environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage customers' daily transport volumes, ensuring all requirements are planned and communicated effectively.
• Liaise with maritime operational and transport teams to resolve service issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing a high standard of customer service.
• Monitor transport movements and proactively communicate updates to customers.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries, concerns, and service issues promptly.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of transport management systems.
• Produce and update reports using Microsoft Excel and other IT systems.
• Support the wider transport operation to ensure service levels and customer expectations are met.
• Work collaboratively as part of a successful and dynamic team.
