Job summary

Mabey Hire in Hatfield is seeking a Design Engineer with a few years of postgraduate experience in temporary works design, focusing on excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework. You will produce designs and check drawings to standards, liaising with clients as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience designing temporary works, specifically Cofferdams or Building Refurbishment.
• HND or degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Good understanding of CDM 2019.

Responsibilities

• Prepare temporary works designs for our products.
• Check designs and drawings in accordance with the appropriate standards.
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs provided by the sales team and provide feedback if more information is required.
• Manage your own workload.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects as agreed by the Engineering Director.
