Job summary

Mabey Hire is looking for a Design Engineer to join our engineering team and deliver temporary works designs for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework. You will report to a Design Team Leader and contribute to engineering excellence across projects.

The role suits an engineer with a few years post graduate experience in structures or geotechnical design and a solid understanding of temporary works.

Qualifications

• HND or degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
• Experience designing temporary works is essential.
• Experience with groundworks, sheet pile cofferdams, propping and falsework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary works for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework.
• Check designs and drawings in accordance with BS5975:2019.
• Attend client meetings and carry out site visits.
• Review design briefs and provide feedback as needed.
• Manage own workload and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
