Job summary

Mabey Hire is seeking a Design Engineer to join the engineering team in the West Midlands. You will design temporary works for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework, reporting to a Design Team Leader.

The role requires a few years post graduate experience in civil/structural design and a strong understanding of temporary works in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with sales and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing temporary works for groundworks or building refurbishment propping.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Sound understanding of temporary works and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary works for excavation support, propping, formwork and falsework.
• Prepare and check drawings in accordance with BS5975:2019.
• Attend client meetings and site visits; support sales/operations.
