Job summary

Chopstix Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to act as the heartbeat of our team, delivering enthusiastic service and leading by example in a fast-paced QSR environment. You’ll motivate, coach and align staff to exceed guest expectations while upholding standards across food quality, cleanliness and compliance.

You’ll support the GM in daily operations, manage shifts with confidence, and drive performance through teamwork, communication and a culture of taking pride in every task.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced retail, hospitality, leisure or QSR environment.
• Passion for coaching, developing and motivating others to perform at their best.
• Strong people skills with the ability to build positive relationships across the team.
• Customer-first mindset, creating great experiences and responding quickly to customer needs.
• Confidence leading shifts and making decisions in a dynamic trading environment.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of sales, labour, costs and operational performance.
• Eye for operational standards, ensuring excellence in food quality, cleanliness and compliance.
• Hands-on leadership style, leading from the front and supporting the team.
• Resilience and adaptability, remaining calm under pressure and shifting priorities efficiently.
• Commitment to developing yourself and helping others grow within the business.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage, influence and inspire a diverse team.
