Job summary

Connex Education are recruiting experienced Level 2 or 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of welcoming primary schools across South Bristol and the surrounding areas. Flexible opportunities available on a day-to-day supply basis, alongside short-term and long-term placements starting from September 2026.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in UK primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Good safeguarding understanding.
• DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups.
• Delivering intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy.
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
• Helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
