Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in UK primary school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident supporting EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Good safeguarding understanding.
• DBS on Update Service or willing to obtain one.

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
• Working with pupils individually and in small groups.
• Delivering intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy.
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.

Salary: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

Connex Education are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of welcoming primary schools across South Bristol and the surrounding areas. We have flexible opportunities available on a day-to-day supply basis, alongside short-term and long-term placements starting from September 2026.

We work in partnership with a range of supportive and inclusive primary schools across the Southwest, each committed to delivering high-quality education and creating positive learning environments where every child can thrive. As a Level 2 / 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. You will help pupils access the curriculum, deliver targeted interventions, and contribute to a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Have experience working within a UK primary school setting
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are confident supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Have a good understanding of safeguarding and classroom expectations
• Have knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc.
• Hold a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one
