Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Experienced Secondary Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Bristol’s secondary schools from September 2026. You may engage in day-to-day supply, long-term roles or permanent positions, across Bristol and surrounding areas.

We welcome TAs with prior experience supporting secondary-age pupils and confidences managing classroom behaviour. A dedicated consultant will guide you through registration and placement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting secondary-age pupils.
• UK school TA experience preferred.
• Able to manage behaviour in a classroom.
• Available for September 2026 start in Bristol.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across secondary year groups.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Support pupils with challenging behaviour.
• Maintain a calm, positive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers to facilitate learning.
• Build positive relationships with students.
