Job summary

Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking a Planner on a fixed-term 5-month contract within the System and Scheduling Team. You will allocate appointments, monitor the diary of trade operatives and reallocate work to keep progress on track.

The role requires strong organisational and IT skills, a good understanding of the construction industry, and the ability to manage conflicting deadlines while maintaining good relationships with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with scheduling and planning systems in a construction or repairs environment.
• Excellent organisational, communication and negotiating skills.
• Good knowledge of the building maintenance industry and materials.

Responsibilities

• Allocate appointments for unallocated works orders and re-appoint incomplete orders.
• Actively monitor and manage the diary of trade operatives to ensure work is progressed daily.
• Record unavailability and absence and reallocate work as appropriate.
• Assess resource availability against demand for appointments.
• Deliver programmes within agreed timescales and ensure daily appointments are completed.
