Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking a Work Planner for a 3-month assignment based in East London. The role pays £18.90 per hour (payee) and focuses on efficient scheduling of Direct Maintenance Technicians.

You will coordinate daily workloads, maintain accurate forecasts, and ensure service levels for reactive repairs are met, while supporting stakeholders with clear information systems. The position is office-based, with shifts from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturday hours to cover

Qualifications

• Planning/scheduling experience is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise in a changing environment.
• Repairs & Maintenance knowledge and customer service experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• IT literate with MS Office and strong admin skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and scheduling of Direct Maintenance Technicians in reactive repairs.

• Log data on the computer system to enable smooth handover and communication.

Position

We are thrilled to offer an exciting position for our client based in East London who are looking to appoint a Work Planner for the 3 months ongoing, at the rate of £18.90 per hour payee.

Working pattern

Working in shifts between hours of 7am-8pm Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday 8am-1pm.

Job responsibilities

To manage the daily workload of the Direct Maintenance Technicians with a view to maximise the efficiency of the Reactive Repairs & Maintenance service and provide key management information to facilitate accurate forecasts and the planning of activities to internal stakeholders using the appropriate information systems. Assist in the delivery of a right first-time service, ensure Technicians have sufficient time on site to deliver a first-time fix. Maintain customer focus and contribute to delivering the highest level of service possible.

The post holder will have an opportunity to play a part in delivering a high-impact service to our residents.

Your impact in the role

• Responsible for co-ordinating the planning and scheduling of the Direct Maintenance Technicians within reactive repairs across the organisations Estate
• Manage Technicians diaries and timetables to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Log data and notes on the computer system to ensure smooth handover and communication
• Monitoring of emails, escalating issues to Team Leader and ensure that maintenance issues are resolved in line with service level agreements.

• Ability to work under pressure in an ever changing environment and be able to adapt and prioritise
• Repairs and Maintenance knowledge is essential as well as front line Customer Service experience.
• Clear ability to communicate both verbally and written.
• IT literate ability to use MS Office packages and have excellent administration skills
