Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Leicester is seeking a qualified Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and building services maintenance across plant and equipment.

The role involves fault finding, risk assessments, compliance documentation and grey-area supervision as required. You will work on three-phase systems up to 440V, operate hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems, and use CAFM for maintenance planning.

Qualifications

• A recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship.
• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical Qualifications to 17th Edition (City and Guilds).
• Mechanical qualifications to a suitable standard.
• Good multi-skilled ability.
• Experience with 3 phase motors/drives/inverters.
• Hydraulic/Pneumatic experience.
• Ability to fault find.
• PLC diagnostics/repair competencies.
• NVQ Level 2 electrical or mechanical.
• Ability to supervise contractors.
• Able to write Risk and Method Statements.
• Able to understand and write Permits.
• Desirable: IPAF/AP qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage risks to the client through site equipment, update drawings and the PM program.
• Use new equipment/technologies to maintain production; liaise on PPMs.
• Fault finding on all types of machinery.
• Support Health and Safety within the department.
• Write and follow Risk Assessments; respond to related issues.
• Complete documentation per rules and legislation.
• Work on Three Phase Systems up to 440V.
• Operate motors, gearboxes, valves; hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical systems.
• Use CAFM to project and complete works.
• Plan daily work via emails/calendars.
• Liaise with Site Services for building services issues.
• Be the responsible person when required and deputise the Shift Leader.
• Overtime may be required; nights/weekends possible.
• Perform adhoc duties as needed.
