Job summary

WR Logistics in St Albans is seeking a Sales Account Manager to develop relationships, handle outbound sales, and manage quotations. You will work in a modern office as part of a small team, with regular hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and a salary starting at £30,000 depending on experience.

Freight forwarding experience isn't essential; we value communication, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Experience in sales, account management or customer service with regular telephone contact.
Excellent listening and relationship-building skills.
Friendly, confident telephone manner and enthusiasm to learn.
Good organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Calling prospective and existing customers to discuss their transport requirements.
Reconnecting with customers to understand why quotation requests or orders have reduced.
Preparing quotations and following up to gather feedback and secure business.
Managing customer accounts and maintaining regular contact.
Negotiating with customers and suppliers.
Working with colleagues to support customer enquiries and shipment requirements.
Maintaining accurate customer records and providing administrative support.
Taking part in sales meetings and customer meetings where required.
