Job summary

Alban Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator in St Albans to join a forward-thinking logistics team. You will oversee end-to-end logistics processes, coordinate shipments with European and UK carriers, and ensure accurate KPI reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines. This is an office-based role with regular hours and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Organise collection from the manufacturer through to the end user.
• Be the client's principal point of contact for UK subsidiaries and distributors.
• Manage project timelines, coordinating deliveries and collections with European and UK carriers.
• Compile detailed KPI and stock reports.
• Process client orders using the in-house operating system.
• Negotiate pricing with carriers and the client.
• Monitor customs processes.
• Participate in regular review meetings.
• Identify additional suppliers.
• Provide proactive written and verbal communication.
• Collaborate with other clients for shipments to/from the EU.

My client is seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to join an established and forward-thinking logistics company in St Albans. You will be joining an experienced, very knowledgeable team of logistics professionals this role is for an individual who is passionate, ambitious, intelligent and is attracted to a career in European commerce and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for organising collection from this manufacturer, through to the "end user"
• You will be the Client's principal point of contact and also for their UK subsidiaries and distributors.
• You will manage the Client's project timelines, co-ordinating deliveries and collections with European and UK carriers.
• Compiling detailed KPI and stock reports.
• Processing client orders through use of "in-house" operating system.
• Negotiating pricing with carriers and our Client.
• Monitoring customs processes.
• Participation in regular review meetings.
• Identify additional Suppliers.
• Providing the highest standards of pro-active written and verbal communication.
• In addition, you will also become involved in working with other clients, managing their shipments to and from the EU.

Benefits:

Up to GBP45k depending on experience.

Monday to Friday 0800-17.30 (1 Saturday morning every 4 weeks 08.30 - 11.00), office based - no hybrid working.
