Job summary

Empowering Learning is seeking Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Caerphilly and Bargoed in South Wales. This flexible supply role requires a DBS and two references, with a minimum commitment of 3 days per week and a September 2026 start date.

You will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and help pupils stay on task in a safe, inclusive environment. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references covering the last two years.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
• Support pupils in completing set work.
• Maintain a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Follow the school's safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.
