Job summary

Equal Teaching is seeking confident, motivated Cover Supervisors to support partner secondary schools in Llanelli. You’ll supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared materials, and promote a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, mentoring, youth work, etc.).
• Confidence managing a classroom.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A calm, professional and flexible approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to process one).
• Right to work in the UK and currently based here.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes during teacher absence.
• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials.
• Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged.
• Supporting a wide range of subjects across the curriculum.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders.
• Upholding safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
