Vision for Education Ltd is recruiting a part-time Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in the DL9, Darlington area. The role involves assisting the class teacher, working with groups and individuals, and helping pupils with reading, writing and maths.

The position suits a caring, patient, and enthusiastic candidate with a passion for children's learning and development. Part-time hours, strong team collaboration, and KS2 experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils in a primary school is desirable.
• Caring, patient and supportive approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Relevant TA qualifications (Level 2/3) desirable but not essential.
• Availability to work part-time.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering KS2 lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to support learning.
• Assist pupils with reading, writing, mathematics and other KS2 areas.
• Promote independent learning and positive behaviour.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and activities.
• Support pupils with SEND where required.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
