Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking an enthusiastic KS2 teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the Thornaby area on a part-time basis, starting October 2026. You will teach across Years 4-6, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to support pupil progress.

The role requires planning, delivering and assessing lessons across KS2, differentiating for a range of abilities, and working closely with teaching assistants and staff to foster a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Experience teaching within KS2, particularly Years 4-6.
• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Experience planning, delivering and assessing high-quality lessons.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to differentiate effectively for a range of abilities and needs.
• A nurturing, patient and inclusive approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Part-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate KS2 lessons across Years 4-6.
• Support pupils in developing literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum knowledge.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress and provide appropriate challenge.
