Job summary

Teach Now is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time temporary role in Harrow, London. You will support pupils across the primary curriculum, lead small-group work, and deliver English and maths interventions.

The ideal candidate has HLTA status or Level 4 training and strong classroom-management skills, with excellent communication and the ability to work with SEND pupils. The position starts 1 September 2026 and offers day-rate pay £100–£120.

Responsibilities

• Leading small-group and whole-class learning when required.
• Delivering focused English and maths interventions.
• Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and assessment.
• Identifying pupils who need additional challenge or support.
• Working closely with children with SEND.
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours.
