Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Blackpool. The role starts in November and runs for the 2026/27 academic year, with potential for a permanent position in 2027.

The HLTA will support teaching and learning across the school, covering PPA, delivering interventions, and working with pupils of varying abilities to promote inclusive education.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or experience at HLTA level in a primary school.
• Experience supporting children across the primary age range.
• Confidence delivering lessons to whole classes.
• Experience delivering interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across the primary age range.
• Deliver planned lessons to cover PPA time and staff absence.
• Lead targeted 1:1 interventions to support pupil progress.
• Deliver small group interventions across curriculum areas.
• Work with teachers and leaders to ensure learning consistency.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and educational needs.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
