Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a Watford secondary school recruit a Food Technology Teacher. The role involves delivering both practical cooking activities and theory-based lessons across the Food Technology curriculum.

You will plan engaging sessions, differentiate for varying abilities and uphold high standards of health, safety and hygiene in the kitchen environment. Applications from ECTs and overseas-qualified teachers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Requires QTS or PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, nutrition and food science.
• Ability to differentiate lessons for mixed abilities while maintaining safety.
• Experience delivering secondary Food Technology curriculum is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Food Technology curriculum to mixed secondary classes.
• Plan and run practical cooking sessions and theory-based lessons.
• Assess students, provide feedback and track progress; ensure health and safety standards.
