Job summary

Hampshire- is seeking an Evidence Officer to manage evidential exhibits across multiple storage areas, ensuring security, compliance with Force Policy, and timely reuniting owners with property where possible.

This active role involves lifting heavy items, driving a vehicle to collect or dispose of items, dealing with the public by phone and in person, and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Educated to at least passes in Maths and English Language.
• Full current driving licence required.
• Experience in a busy office environment with proven organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safekeeping and appropriate handling of all evidential exhibits in compliance with legislation and Force Policy and Procedures.
• Receive and quality check all items deposited in the Temporary Evidence Stores (TES).
• Maintain the required security protocols for the environment and stored items at all times.
• Receive and resolve enquiries from the Public in person, by telephone and email.
• Facilitate the provision of exhibits to officers / staff when requested.
• Collect and transport exhibits between locations or to a disposal facility in a police vehicle as required.
