Job summary

Government Recruitment Service seeks a Senior Evidence Manager for the Grooming Gangs Inquiry in Leeds. You will support the Evidence Management Team with technical expertise, training, and secure handling of sensitive material, ensuring GDPR compliance and proper archiving.

The role reports to the Deputy Head of Evidence Management and involves liaison with material providers and system suppliers to deliver robust evidential records for hearings and the final report.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build capability within the Evidence Management Team and wider Chief Operating Officer’s team.
• Provide technical expertise and training on the evidence management system.
• Coordinate with material providers and system suppliers to ensure secure evidence handling.
• Ensure evidential continuity and support disclosure for Core Participant access.
• Line manage an Evidence Manager and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate day-to-day Evidence Management activities.
• Quality assure outputs and provide regular training to the team.
• Ensure information management compliance with The Inquiries Act 2005, GDPR and related legislation.
