Hampshire- is seeking an Evidence Officer to manage evidential exhibits across multiple storage areas, ensuring security, compliance with Force Policy, and timely reuniting owners with property where possible.

To deliver an efficient Evidence Management Service to colleagues and the public; proactively managing evidential exhibits in line with Force Policy and Procedures and reuniting owners with their property at the earliest opportunity.

We use a van on a regular basis to visit various locations to collect/dispose of items of property, therefore a driving licence is essential.
Evidence Officers are required to deal with a multitude of items some of which can be unpleasant to handle or heavy/awkward to lift.
As part of the Evidence Officer role, you are required to deal with members of the public daily, both face to face and over the phone. This can be confrontational at times as we are not always able to return items of personal property to them due to ongoing police investigations.
