Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children across primary schools, nurseries and Early Years settings in Somerset. This role involves assisting learning through classroom and play-based activities, helping with communication, confidence and independence.

Experience with SEN is welcome but not essential. You will work alongside teachers and staff on a day-to-day supply basis, with reliable daily pay in line with framework guidelines and a

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar setting is required.
• Strong understanding of early years learning and child development.
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children with learning, play and creative activities.
• Encourage communication, language development, phonics and early learning skills.
• Support children's social interaction, confidence and independence.
• Provide support to children with SEN and additional needs where required.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Work with teachers and staff to support children's development.
