Job summary

Prospero Teaching are working with a specialist Early Years provision in Poole, Dorset, seeking enthusiastic Early Years or Nursery Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASC.

The role is 1:1 and small group support for children aged 3–8, with hours 09:00am–15:15pm, full time, and a temporary to permanent contract.

Pay starts at £14.66 per hour; candidates should have Right to Work in the UK and be willing to complete an enhanced DBS via online update service.

Early Years Teaching Assistant (SEN)

Prospero Teaching are working with a specialist Early Years provision currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Years or Nursery Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

This inclusive setting, based in Poole, Dorset, caters for children aged 3 to 8 years. The provision offers small class sizes of 6 to 8 pupils and a high staff-to-student ratio, ensuring every child receives the individual care and attention they need to thrive.

The environment includes Autism-specific classrooms, a fully equipped soft play area, sensory spaces, large outdoor areas, and a multi-purpose shared space for PE, training and group activities. These facilities are designed to promote communication, independence and early development through structured play and sensory learning.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about Early Years education and supporting children with special educational needs. It would suit applicants with experience in nursery settings, childcare, SEN support or early intervention.
