Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will drive a Royal Mail van on your round and walk parts of your route to ensure timely delivery, in all weather conditions.

The role combines outdoor activity with community service, and you will be expected to pass a driving assessment at start. Shifts vary, with different pay rates by shift.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; you must adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, driving your route and delivering items safely.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including any election materials or items such as food/alcohol per policy.
• Be the face of Royal Mail in your community, providing exceptional service in all weather.
