Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally walking parts of your route.

Shifts vary and can include day, dawn, early morning, evening, late, and night hours. A full, manual UK driving licence with no more than six points is required, and you’ll need to stay active

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine while driving a Royal Mail van and occasionally walking parts of your route.
• You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail business standards.
• This role is a vital service at the heart of every neighbourhood and offers flexible work options.
