Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic Delivery Drivers for the Belper Office, working as a Post Person with Driving. You will deliver letters and parcels on your route, walking and driving a Royal Mail van as required, and providing excellent service in your community.

Shifts vary, with guaranteed hours during a peak period. Competitive hourly rates apply, and there may be a path to permanent employment depending on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community, come rain or shine.
• Drive a Royal Mail delivery route and ensure items reach their destination safely.
• Handle election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail business standards.
