Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting flexible Post Persons with Driving to deliver letters and parcels across their local area. You will drive a Royal Mail van and walk portions of your route as needed, delivering securely and on time in all weather. The role blends driving with active, community-based service.

Shifts vary and you should be ready to adapt at short notice. Pay rates apply per shift, with opportunities across multiple time blocks. A driving assessment is part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16 kg.
• Shifts vary and require flexible team players who can adapt on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels to your delivery area, driving a Royal Mail van and delivering on foot where required.
• Securely deliver all items on your route and handle items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Provide friendly, reliable service in your community and stay active throughout the day.
