Job summary

E-ACT Ousedale School in Olney is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to support learning across lessons and raise attainment. You will work under the direction of teaching staff to supervise classes and ensure smooth continuation of learning in their absence.

The role requires GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or equivalent, plus Level 3 Cover Supervision or HLTA. Strong communication and behaviour management skills are essential for a calm, productive classroom.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA or equivalent.
• Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders using a variety of methods.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils undertaking work in accordance with academy policy under staff guidance.
• Monitoring and evaluation of student responses and providing feedback/reports.
• Undertaking activities with whole classes, individuals or small groups to support learning.
• Managing student behaviour during lessons to maintain a constructive learning climate.
