Job summary

The Aylesbury Vale Academy is seeking Cover Supervisors to manage classes when the regular teacher is absent and during PPA sessions. You will oversee classes across the full range of subjects with individual strengths utilised where possible.

Candidates must have experience of working with children and young adults, with numeracy and literacy GCSEs at grade C, and strong communication and ICT skills. A DBS check and safeguarding checks will be required throughout the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young adults.
• Numeracy and literacy skills, GCSE C in Maths and English.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision within a team.
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage classes during teacher absences and PPA sessions.
• Support development of teaching resources in curriculum areas.
• Assist in the SEN Department.
