Job summary

E-ACT Willenhall Academy is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to supervise classes in the absence of teachers and maintain a positive learning environment. The role focuses on safeguarding student wellbeing and delivering planned activities in line with the academy’s policies.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 Cover Supervision/HLTA or equivalent, GCSEs in Maths and English (grade 4+), and prior experience supervising children with varied educational needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA or equivalent.
• GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
• Relevant experience supervising children in a school setting.
• Experience of working with children with diverse educational needs.
• Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lessons as directed by staff.
• Establish productive relationships with students and uphold high expectations.
• Monitor and report on learning activities and progress.
• Encourage collaborative work and positive student engagement.
• Support effective use of ICT to aid learning.
