Job summary

CER Education Recruitment is seeking two engaging Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in Harrogate, with roles starting in October/November 2026. You will deliver the set work and ensure lessons run smoothly when the teacher is absent.

Ideal candidates will have experience managing groups aged 4-18, strong behaviour management, and excellent interpersonal communication with staff and pupils. This role offers a supportive environment and access to CPD courses.

Qualifications

• Experience of group management of 4-18 year olds.
• Excellent and proven behaviour management experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Supporting lessons across the ages 11 - 16.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and cover teaching using available resources within the classroom.
• Promote and push the students to achieve the expectations set in the absence of the teacher.
