Job summary

REESON Education is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a large mixed secondary school in Oxted, Surrey, starting September 2026. The role involves managing groups of around 30 students, delivering set work to a high standard, and providing support during short-notice cover requirements.

You will register, deliver lessons where needed, and help foster a positive climate for learning. The position requires good IT skills and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in autism and SEN support.
• Experience managing distressed behaviour.
• Good IT literacy with Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration.
• Deliver lessons with high standards and limited prep time.
• Maintain positive learning climate and follow school policies.
• Support students' self-esteem through praise and encouragement.
• Assist with SEN support plan development and implementation.
