Job summary

Reed is seeking Cover Supervisors for immediate opportunities across a range of secondary schools in the United Kingdom. The role involves delivering pre-set lesson plans when teachers are absent, managing behavior, and keeping students engaged throughout sessions.

You will support learning, adapt to school policies, and report progress to staff. Flexible, reliable, and communicative candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school setting as Cover Supervisor or similar educational role.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lead a classroom independently.
• Flexible and professional approach to work.
• Passion for education and supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Providing support and guidance to students where required.
• Following school policies and procedures at all times.
• Reporting back to teaching staff on lesson progress and any issues arising during the day.
