Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a large secondary school in Portsmouth, Hampshire, starting ASAP. In this role, you will independently manage groups of students, deliver lessons, and provide support for their learning. The school aims to create a diverse and inclusive environment.

Ideal candidates have a degree, experience managing behaviors, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Experience managing behaviors of distress is necessary.
• Must be calm and quick in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Manage groups of up to 30 students independently.
• Deliver lessons with limited preparation at short notice.
• Implement SEN support plans as needed.
• Create a positive learning climate and manage student behavior effectively.

Skills

Degree or aspiring teacher

Interest in autism

Experience in behavior management

Problem-solving skills

IT literacy in Microsoft Office

Excellent communication skills
