Job summary

Reeson Education are supporting a large secondary school in Sutton to recruit a Cover Supervisor. The role involves managing groups of around 30 students and delivering work to a high standard with minimal prep time.

You will be expected to provide cover for registrations, deliver lessons at short notice, promote a positive climate for learning, and support SEN initiatives, all while communicating effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree or be an aspiring teacher.
• Interest in autism and related needs.
• Experience managing distressed behaviours.
• Able to solve problems calmly and quickly.
• Basic IT literacy with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for registration and lessons with minimal prep.
• Deliver lessons at short notice to a high standard.
• Maintain a positive learning climate and uphold behaviour policies.
• Support students’ self-esteem through positive interactions.
• Assist with SEN support plans where required.
