Job summary

Engage Education is helping a good Ofsted-rated secondary school near East Grinstead recruit a full-time cover supervisor. You will lead lessons and cover in the absence of class teachers across a range of subjects, helping pupils stay on track and maintain progress.

We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience; training is provided, and you will join a supportive team focused on challenging, evolving and nurturing pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students aged 11-16.
• Flexibility to work on different subjects.
• Confident managing behaviour.
• Ability to build rapport with students.
• Have a fun but firm presence.
• An interest in education.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons and provide cover in the absence of class teachers across varying subjects.
• Role involves very little planning and marking, supporting a good Ofsted-rated school.
