Job summary

Engage Education Ltd is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support a Medway secondary school. You will supervise lessons, manage classroom behaviour and ensure set work is completed during planned and unplanned absences. You do not need prior cover supervisor experience, but a degree is required and experience with young people is valued.

• Must have a degree
• Some experience with young people
• Personable and adaptable to different situations

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils to carry out pre-planned work when staff are off
• Manage behaviour in the classroom
• Assist pupils with questions
• Follow the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Collect completed work and hand to Head of Department
• Provide feedback on the lesson and pupils
