Job summary

Simply Education Ltd is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join their network across Medway and surrounding areas. Work across secondary schools delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment. Ideal candidates have experience with secondary students, strong classroom management, and good communication.

QTS preferred. This role offers day-to-day, short-term and ongoing supply with flexible opportunities that fit around your availability.

Qualifications

• Experience with secondary-aged students is essential.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are required.
• Ability to deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3–KS5.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities are important.
• A safeguarding-focused, calm and adaptable approach is valued.

Secondary Cover Supervisor - Medway & Surrounding Areas

Are you a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor looking for flexible opportunities across secondary schools in Medway?

I'm currently building my network of Cover Supervisors for day-to-day supply, short-term cover and ongoing opportunities across Medway and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity if you already have school experience, are considering a career in teaching, or simply enjoy working with young people and want greater flexibility in your working week.

About You

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students
• QTS or other teaching qualifications preferred
• School or classroom experience is highly desirable
• Confidence supervising classes across KS3-KS5
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Ability to confidently deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects
• Experience supporting SEN/additional learning needs is advantageous
• A calm, confident and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll provide classroom cover during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged and learning continues effectively.

You'll typically be responsible for delivering pre-prepared work, managing classroom behaviour, supporting students with tasks and maintaining a positive learning environment.
