Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Cover Supervisor to start in September in Hartlepool. This role is suitable for graduates or those with experience working with young people, offering flexible working patterns and competitive daily pay.

You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, support students' learning, and provide feedback to staff after lessons. No formal teaching qualification is required, but strong communication and DBS checks are expected.

Qualifications

• UK experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work).
• Commitment to supporting students' learning and wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with their learning and ensure work is completed.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson.
