Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to work across local secondary schools in Stockton-on-Tees, offering flexible full-time or part-time hours and an immediate start. This role provides practical classroom experience for graduates considering teaching, education, psychology, or youth work.

You will supervise classes when teachers are absent, help keep students engaged, and follow each school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence working with young people.
• Professional, reliable and positive attitude.
• Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes in secondary schools when teachers are absent.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support pupils in completing the work set by their teacher.
• Encourage students to stay focused and engaged.
• Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
• No lesson planning or marking required.
