Job summary

Teaching Personnel is actively recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to work in Sunderland secondary schools. Roles are available for day-to-day cover or longer-term placements with flexible start dates, ASAP or as agreed.

Ideal candidates will have proven Cover Supervisor experience in secondary schools, strong classroom management, and reliability. DBS checks (Enhanced DBS or Update Service) are required or willingness to obtain one, with support from Teaching Personnel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school is essential.
• Confident independently managing a classroom.
• Reliable, professional, and adaptable to different schools.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 and delivering pre-set work
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations
• Following school procedures and providing brief feedback to staff
• Adapting confidently to different schools and year groups
